Hello Snails,
I would like to announce the start of the Snail’s Spirit Incentive Program  
 
Purpose: to encourage more participation in Club activities.  This is a Chapter competition where you are only competing against members in your own Chapter.  
 
Points are awarded for the activities listed below.  Prior to each monthly meeting, the previous month's points will be tabulated and high scorer will receive at least a $20 ASP gift card. (larger prizes may be available during certain months)  At the end of the year the top ten scorers will receive special prizes with the overall winner awarded a free pair of New Balance shoes, a free membership renewal and a free entry to any 2011 Club race of their choice.  
 
To participate:  Login to www.snailspacespirit.com and create an account.  The entire program is self-service, and very self explanatory.  If you don't remember to log your own activities, nobody will do it for you.  Points are calculated on a monthly basis and awarded at the following Monthly meeting.  For example, the runner with the most points from Jan 1st to Jan 31st will be awarded the $20 Gift Card at the February club meeting.  You can enter your points for the month of January up until 5:00pm on the day of the February meeting.  (that is when I will calculate the winner)
 
You must be a current club member in good standing to be eligible for prizes.  Regular club members, Racing Team members and Running Academy Graduates are all eligible to participate and win prizes.
 
How you receive points
1.) showing up at a regularly scheduled club run -10 points
2.) attending the monthly club meeting – 20 points
3.) participating in the monthly club race - 20 points
4.) additional points for wearing the club uniform at races – 10 points
5.) running other non-club races – 10 points
6.) writing a newsletter article (and having it published) – 20 points
7.) hosting a club social event – 30 points
8.) attending a club social event – 10 points
9.) recruiting new members – 10 points
10.) volunteering at a local race – 10 points
11.) carpooling to races (two or more people) – 10 points

Sad that FV & Brea Chapters aren't able to create an account.  Can this be fixed?
